I came across an article at KATV.com, an Arkansas media affiliate, which discussed the recent increase in breast augmentation procedures among teenages across the US.  Their site states “The number of teen breast implant surgeries nationwide has tripled in the past decade and doctors say the trend is evident right here in Arkansas.  It may seem like some of your teen’s favorite actresses and musicians. Even idols are suddenly bigger than ever before.”

Breast implants are common place in today’s landscape.  They are accepted by society and the costs have reached an attainable level for almost all consumers.

A recent article at Canada.com discusses a new technique for reshaping a patient’se nose without the traditional painful and intensive nose job surgery.

It’s being called the “five-minute nose job” which uses fillers like Restylane or Juvederm promising instant results, without the swelling, bruising and pain of a traditional nose job surgery.

“Individuals seek me out because they don’t want surgery,” says Toronto surgeon Stephen Mulholland, who pioneered the procedure about five years ago and has since taught the practice to surgeons across North America. “They just don’t want the risk or the recovery or the stigma of surgery or the financial commitment.”

There are a few celebrities in the news today that probably would prefer they weren’t.  Some websites including Celebitchy.com and Dlisted.com are reporting that Kevin Costner and Brendan Fraser are either recent recipients of hair transplants or candidates.

The image below from Dlisted.com shows  two photos of Kevin Costner six months apart.  The photo on the right shows the supposed “after” photo of the hair transplant procedure.  I have yet to see any confirmation on this procedure, so it is all speculation at this point.  The photo on the right certainly does look better and Costner has more thicker hair and more coverage in the photo on the right.
