What is Breast Reduction?Breast reduction involves the removal of fat, glandular tissue, and skin from the breasts; in some cases, the areola may also be reduced. This surgical procedure is generally done on an inpatient basis. Mammograms (breast X-rays) and a routine breast exam are required before surgery.
